I had no idea why I was hurting as badly as I was just a few weeks ago. I am a pretty active person, but I had not had any accidents or caused any injury to myself. The pain just came out of nowhere, or at least it seemed that way. When I went to see a chiropractor in Redding CA about this phantom pain, I learned that pain does not just appear out of nowhere. There is always a cause for it, even if it is not obvious at the time.
I went through an examination, and that is when I learned that my spine was not in proper alignment. That can throw everything out of whack with a person’s body, but that still confused me. I did not understand how I could go from feeling absolutely fine one day and then hurt like this the very next morning. He was able to show me on a chart of the spine that was located in his office exactly what happens when the spine gets out of alignment. Seeing it visually like that really helped make it more clear in my head, so my next question was how to fix it.
That turned out to be the easy part. I learned about spinal manipulations that day, and I even had my first one in his office that same day. He told me that it took years to get to this point, so just one adjustment was not going to fix the problem. I scheduled a series of adjustments, and I started to feel better once I had my third one. I have regular adjustments still, and I am just so happy that I am back to feeling good. I have even talked my brother and parents into having this done on a regular basis so they don’t end up in pain like I did.
